Participation in Winter and Summer Games

Turkey has participated in most Winter Olympic Games since its first appearance in 1936. In the Summer Olympics, Turkey has competed in every edition since 1924, except for the 1932 Los Angeles Games. Turkey officially adopted the name Türkiye in 2022 and will compete under that name at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Medals Won

Turkish athletes have won a total of 105 medals in the Winter and Summer Olympics combined. In the Winter Olympics, Turkey has won one bronze medal in short track speed skating. In the Summer Olympics, Turkey has won 40 gold, 28 silver, and 37 bronze medals. The majority of Turkey's medals have come in wrestling, weightlifting, and taekwondo.
